Impetus is an Annual Sports Event organized by School of Management, ADYPU. Students from all the other Schools actively participate in a week-long Event. Various indoor and outdoor games competitions for Football, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Carom and many more were organized during the event.
Karnika is an annual event organized by the undergraduate students of School of Film & Media, ADYPU. Under the mentorship of Dr. Makarand Joshi, the students brainstormed and devised strategized based on the principles of marketing. They went all out glamorous by driving sponsorships, getting registrations, handling the show concepts and final execution of ‘Karnika’.
MACtivities-2018 has grown bigger with a series of innovative communication activities. As part of their course on Media Business Environment, MACTitives-2018 comprised of Bollywood Quiz, Traditional Day & Half-Blood Prince. All the three activities were a craze among all ADYPU Schools. The event instilled in them the spirit of working in teams as well as understand the media world through experiential learning.
The “Matheletes” club of ADYPU has organized “Spectrum” Event for students as well as the staff of ADYPU in the month of February. The Spectrum committee introduced fun activities like Puzzles and Sudoku which would be given to students to solve twice a week.
Congressman Todd Rokita is an Attorney turned Politician from Indiana’s 4th Congressional district, USA. He enlightened the School of Law students about various general law practices in the United States of America.
Mr. Gregory Hill – Young conducted three week course on Automobile Design Drawing at School of Design, ADYPU. He is a Senior Designer at General Motors Europe Frankfurt Am Main Area, Germany Automotive. He is a College of Creative Studies (CCS) pass out in the year 1986.
Mr. Koos Eissen is a visiting faculty at ADYPU from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. He is the head of the drawing department and associate professor for Industrial Design at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. He is best known for his world-renowned book called, Sketching: Drawing Techniques for Product Designers, which has sold more than 50,000 copies the world over.
Mr. Tomio Isogai is the former Managing Director of Sharp India Ltd. He has 37 years career at Sharp University conducts practical lectures on Global Marketing, Cross-Cultural Management, and Leadership & Team-building for its BE/ME/BBA/MBA students. He truly is a global minded business person with diversified experiences in more than 60 countries over the world.
Mr. Ram Jethmalani a renowned Indian Lawyer and Politician inaugurated the state level moot court competition and made the event most memorable by his esteemed presence.
On the occasion of World Chef Day, School of Hotel Management Students and Faculty organized ‘Bread and Chef Day”. Students from the School of Hotel Management displayed a variety of bread and prepared a Jumbo Pizza which was shared with all the ADYPU students & Staff.
As the name suggests ‘Chatori Galli’ brings home for food-lovers enticing new aromas of exotic and new dishes. Part of experiential communication course, the ‘Chatori-Galli food carnival’ was organized by the Second Year BBA Media Communication Students. The experiential project enabled students to imbibe business as well as managerial skills in addition to event planning skills
Under the cleanliness initiative by the School of Engineering, students and faculty actively participated in Cleanliness Drive. The students and faculty duo also honored the support staff of the University for their tireless effort to keep the ADYPU Campus clean.
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the ADYPU family celebrated the Kite Festival. The colorful kites in the sky made the mesmerizing view of the University.
“National Science Day” is celebrated in India on 28 February every year to give a tribute to the eminent Indian physicist Sir Dr. C V Raman for his Nobel research on “Raman Effect”. School of engineering students organized various health related tests like blood group test, lung function test, water purification test, ECG and many more for all the students and staff.
Go Green Go Clean 2019
Art marathon event called Art-a –Thon was organized by DYPDC School of Design at the Phoenix Mall, Pune. DYPDC students were given a chance to showcase their talent and skills in front of the mall visitors. The event lasted for 3 days and students put up a great show at the mall and sell some of their art work.
The workshop on Ethical Hacking was conducted by Ms. Shabnam Sharma, Expert in Network Security. In this workshop, students learned about the tools and techniques used by Ethical Hacker. The workshop aimed at delivering students the practical know-how on network security.
Fusion 360, a 3D CAD/CAM design software workshop was organized for the B.Tech first year students to give them a hands-on experience about the software on Month of September and October 2017. This 5 day workshop had an immense response from the students.
Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Film & Media organized two day International Conference on Future of Story Telling. The conference was aimed to build on the global insights as to show how a story is used by media & entertainment professionals, brands and by non-profits.
Alliance Graphique Internationale and Ajeenkya D Y Patil University hosted a special program entitled AGI in India with AGI members who are active in the global design field and Indian creators. The two day programme witnessed a series of panel sessions, poster competitions, design workshops pertaining to the innovation and changes in Design.
Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Engineering organized an International Conference on Smart Systems (ICSS). 46 papers were presented by national and international authors on 3 tracks, namely, Smart Computing, Smart Mobility and Intelligent system, and Smart Healthcare.
Ajeenkya DY Patil University in joint collaboration with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa & Indian Advocates Multi-State Multi-Purpose Co.Op Society Ltd had organized a four-day extensive judicial training camp on ‘Judicial Services as a Career’ recently in the sprawling University campus.
The first-ever national conference on InnovAtion in HospitAlity and Tourism Industry was organized at AjeenkyA D Y PAtil University School of Hotel Management Pune in association with Maharashtra Tourism Development

Our honorable President Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil conferred the Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) to Congressman Todd Rokita, U.S House of Representatives Indiana-District 4, Ms. Anita Garware, Social Worker for Childrens’ Causes, Ms. Yuli Tamir, Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Israel, Mr. Kazuo Tanaka, President & CEO GK Design Group Inc. and Mr. Niraj Shah, Executive Director, ANZ Banking Group Limited.

Our Chief Guest Hon’ble Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Former President of India conferred the Doctor of Letters to Mr. Adar Poonawala, CEO, Serum Institute of India and Mr. Hukum Chand Sharma (Ganeshia), Legal Luminary and Chancellor, Vishwa Hindi Sahitya Parishad. Our Honorable President Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil talked about exploring to encounter with the right opportunities to build a career. Our Vice Chancellor Mr. Eknath B. Khedkar addressed the gathering and shared the University Report. Our Chief Guest Hon. Ms. Pratibha Patil awarded Medal of Merits and degrees to the students.
1st Convocation Ceremony at Ajeenkya DY Patil University was held under the presence of our Honorable President Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil and chief guest Mr. Pratap Govindrao Pawar, Chairman & MD, Sakal Papers Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. David G. Porter. The first batch of ADYPU – the innovation university delightfully passed out and received their degree from our Chief Guest.
